“The Hearts of the children turn to their fathers. Malachi prophesied that hearts would turn. Elijah fulfilled the prophecy and families can be sealed for eternity.” These are lyrics from one of my favorite songs.
We had a family history morning today and discovered we are related to William and Elizabeth Turner. Imagining Pirates of the Carribean helped keep them motivated to find more ancestors. They were hoping for Captain Jack Sparrow.
We had 4 stations on different devices going at the same time: indexing, looking for green temples, doing the next recomended task by FamilySearch, and searching for sources on the Turner line. It was so much fun. Blakely also finished her family tree with fantastic hand-drawn portraits of grand parents.
Evelyn’s appointment with the surgeon was today. I think she made fans of the whole office. The doctor had her new song on his Apple playlist and started playing it for everyone. She could hear the nurses commenting about her amazing voice and got a little embarrassed. He joked that they would start giving her VIP treatment and take extra special care with that talented wrist. The next step will be an MRI.
This evening I got another call from America’s Got Talent. The casting producer wanted a version of The Way I Am cover she did with no reverb on the mic so he can present her to the executive director on Monday! We quickly recorded the video. She did a great job playing guitar even through the pain in her wrist. Then things got crazy! I had to take Porter to wrestling, Blakely to Ju-Jitzu, make dinner, right as my computer crashed uploading her video! Haha! Who knew all the drama happens months before the show. It’s all good. We know how to handle opposition at our house.
Tomorrow is Amos’s last round of chemo. He came home right during the computer crash and helped me stay calm and find a solution.
