America’s Got Talent
“I am the Casting Producer on America’s Got Talent and I came across
your Sia cover on YouTube. You are a phenomenal singer.
I came on the show last season and my goal was to take us to another
level with the talent. I think that we have accomplished that. If
you’d like I can send you links to performances from our past
season. We hit record highs on ratings and was the highest rated show
on television. We were able to accomplish that by showcasing talent
better than we have had in the history of the show. We also had a very
successful group of kids this season that took over the show. I can
see you doing the same.
I’d love to speak with you and your parents and see if you would be
interested in performing next season?
Please let me know your thoughts and hope we have the chance to talk
I responded with my phone number and he called instantly. He asked about our schedule for the next 6 months and I told him we have an unstable schedule with Amos’s cancer but we also have a huge army of support and that we would make it work. I was surprised that he didn’t already know about Evie’s dad’s cancer, but I directed him to watch the Eye of the Tiger benefit video for Amos and he sent me a message later saying how difficult it was for him to hold back the tears while watching it. He also said, “I hope he (Amos) is excited to hear the news and it gives him more reason to stay strong through this.”
I believe it will and I’m grateful to the casting producer for reaching out to us today. Thankfully we have time. He said it would be March that they would fly her out there. That is plenty of time for her to get through her wrist surgery and Amos to get through his surgery. We should be in good shape by then.
