I got this message from Amos this afternoon. “I had some pain this morning. Not sure if it was bone pain or slept wrong. I took the Clariton which seemed to help. Lots of leg fatigue today tough.”
Porter was so sweet to remake the Team Amos Logo. He said everyone thought the colon cancer color was purple because his original artwork had a purple background and it blended into the blue ribbon. I like this new one a lot.
If you loved the Eye of the Tiger video for #teamamos featuring Evie Clair and Spencer Jones, you might be interested to know what Evie and Spencer are up to. Spencer Jones and Rob Gardner were on Channel 3 this morning talking about Cinematic Pop and they sang an original song called “So Low.”

We performed this song at our last concert where Spencer told the audience about how sad he was feeling when he wrote it and some of the circumstances that led to a difficult period in his life. He also talked about how sad songs can be good, not because they make us sad but because they connect us to others who have felt similar feelings. In that connection, we realize we aren’t alone and we find comfort. I feel that way with the sad things I share on this blog. Hopefully I don’t depress people too much.
Spencer is off to London to perform as a band called Redhill. He also has a song coming out that he sang with my niece, McKenna Morris on her new album. I’m so excited for that because I’ve heard the song and it’s so good I can’t believe they haven’t released it yet!
My daughter, Evie Clair, has an EP coming out soon and will have 4 of her original songs on it. It should be the perfect Christmas gift for everyone on my list if I can get them ordered in time. After that, I might take a break from being her “mom-ager” for a while and just focus on being her mom. I forget that she is just 12 sometimes.
Amos can get “so low” once in a while. Anyone going through this would have moments where they forget why they even try to fight, but he ALWAYS seems to bounce back. I’m so grateful for the strength and endurance he has to push through every day.
