Amos did a beautiful job conducting Gloria’s funeral today. She was a such a light to so many people. She was a single mother with two football player boys at Highland High school. Amos loved seeing so many football players at the funeral supporting their friend. Gloria used to make burritos for the entire team. They loved her for it. She has a six year old daughter who will be our new neighbor and my girls are super excited to have a new little friend to play with.
Amos shared a hopeful message today from 1 Corinthians 15:
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tonight is my last pack night. I was released from my calling as the Cub Scout Committee Chair and now I’m blasting off for some rocket races with my cubs.
