House Clean, Grass Green

We had our first taste of quinoa today and we all love it.  It makes an amazing hot breakfast and an incredible dinner side or mix in for bread or salad.  It can be infused into almost anything to add extra nutrition.  Amos’s digestion is not the same this round.  Normally chemo weekend would reek havoc on his intestines but everything is nice and smooth.  He may even consider keeping this vegan/no sugar diet for more than a month.

He put in a long day at work.  He is a prison therapist so he doesn’t bring his work home with him and rarely talks about it.  He said he felt fatigue and weakness today but had no major issues.

I only have a minute to write before Family Night so today’s post will be short but I did want to thank Amos’s brother Tom and his wife Paije for their support.  Amos and I both come from large families and we are both nearly the youngest.   What a blessing to have so many older relatives who have reached out to help us during the past few months.

Thank you also to my son for re-seeding, fertilizing and mowing the lawn.  I am so proud of him for happily taking on the jobs Amos can no longer do. Thank you to my girls for cleaning the garage today.  Keeping the grass green and the house clean are the small things in life that make me happy.
