We woke up early so Kirra could open presents before dad left for work. He checked in a few times and seems to be surviving work today with the “full fury” chemotherapy.
I got a few minutes with my awesome neighbors Kate and Joe this morning then spent most of the day with my sweet friend Tiffany Lantz. We prepared dinners for both of our families together. Being able to work with her to make a meal was really helpful for my learning. We’re going to do it again next Thursday.
Today Evie had a super awesome Skype session with a music director from America’s Got Talent. She helped Evie rework the original song she has on the Once I Was a Beehive soundtrack for use on AGT. Evie is excited about the suggestions to make her song better and glad they haven’t forgotten about her for next season.
While Evie and I were at the piano on Skype, Kirra tried to take her birthday cake out of the pan by herself and it ended up in pieces. Evie helped her feel better by turning it into cake pops that looked like gumballs. Kirra got a gumball machine for her birthday. We’ve been stuck on the gumball theme since the trunk or treat.
Daddy should be home any minute for dinner and birthday cake
I love Kirra because she is bright and fun and busy and reminds me of my mom. Porter says she is the most helpful person he knows. Evie loves Kirra because she’s talented and super nice to everyone at school.
Whoa!! Thunderstorms. That was loud. Get home soon daddy!
