Amos made it to Bishop’s Night at girl’s camp. It was such a moving night for us and the young women and their leaders. Amos has so much love for the young women in our ward and it was so special to hear him speak to them. He said he was given a special gift tonight which was to see a glimpse of the way those women are loved by their Father in Heaven.
Sorry this blog is so late but the connection isn’t great. Amos knew he couldn’t stay up here at camp over night and I was worried about driving home so late. We ended up taking several other people home in our car and one of them is driving so I can write the midnight blog.
One of the girls we are bringing home was really having a hard time. She was crying when she got in the car and wouldn’t respond when I asked her name. I started singing I Am a Child of God very lightly to comfort Amos. When the song ended the girl asked if I could sing another song. She suggested “A Child’s Prayer.” I was so grateful to have found a way to reach this sweet girl through music. He does hear every child’s prayer!
