Today was one of the hardest days I’ve seen Amos have, but we have been overwhelmed with waves of love from ward members, family members and strangers.
Last night we got another suprise from the Prisbrey family from Utah who found us online through Evie’s videos. They are the ones who sent us the giant box of dental supplies for their family night activity about a month ago. They recently contacted Amos wanting to do more. They offered him 5 day Park Hopper tickets to Disneyland not even knowing that Amos LOVES Disneyland. His brother Tom might be the only adult male I know who LOVES Disneyland as much. Sadly, Amos knows his body would not survive an adventure like that right now. They decided on a different suprise that I’m excited to find out about.
Then my nephew came to visit Amos at the hospital and brought him some fish tacos while all day Sister Ketcher from our ward was the subsititute mom at our house dropping and picking up kids from school, cooking dinner and helping them with homework while we were at the hospital.
Amos’s cancer markets are up to 6.3 which is higher again. We realized today that his numbers were the best right after we did the one month pure vegan, no sugar diet. When I told the girls we were going to have to go back to that, they freely agreed and said, “anything to help daddy get better.”
He is dragging tonight to get to his Bishop appointments tonight but we are at the church also doing a fun service project for foster kids.
Amos’s mom had her last round of chemo today! Yay!! #teamsandi
I hope Amos will only have one more. He gets PTSD just driving to chemo now. He needs to be done soon.
