It’s concert day! Porter saw this picture and asked if Rob puts all the blondes together! Ha! No, all the first sopranos just happened to be blonde. Amos is super excited to go to the show tonight. We are getting a lot of help from my sister and brother in law to make this day work and I’m so thankful that my friends Sean and Becky had a couple extra tickets tonight since they are hard to come by. I am sorry she has to be sick though! Get better Becky! If you haven’t heard of Cinematic Pop, look us up. We are a group of some of my best choir friends with members of the Phoenix orchestra directed by Rob Gardner singing classic hits in the most glorious style imaginable. You will recognize the lead singer, Spencer Jones, as the one who did the Eye of the Tiger benefit video with Evie for Amos. He has a heart of gold and an amazingly cool voice.
At noon we go to the hospital for Amos to get his chemo pump removed and have a calcium and magnesium infusion for a couple hours. A photographer from The Beehive Newspaper is coming to take pictures for the October cover story. I am supposed to be at the arts center for rehearsal at 1pm, but Rob said I could come at 2:30 so I can stay with Amos at the hospital until he is done.
We perform tonight at the Mesa Arts Center at 5 and 8 pm. If you have tickets, nice job securing them early! We have tons of new songs and you will be blown away. I hope to see you there. Come find me in the lobby after the show.
