Amos wants to be doing well but he isn’t. He normally would have loved a day filled with JesterZ and wrestling friends, but it was so hard for him. If those laughs weren’t so painful there would be more of them. He can barely walk or function at all. Everyone sees it and probably thinks I am in denial, but I do realize how much he has deteriorated. I was with my mom the week she passed away from cancer and the way he is right now is very similar. It breaks my heart to see him like this, but I know he will survive it, no matter how bad it gets. I just know. I love all of you who “deal in reality” as one person put it today, but everyone knows, I have never done that in my life.
Amos was supposed to go to a Gilbert High wrestler’s reunion today. They get together for pizza and wings to catch up once in a while. He told them he couldn’t make it today so they came all the way to him and brought us all food and shared some good-old-days memories and laughs.
We had more laughs when we went to see Jason Gray at Jesterz Comedy Club tonight. My kids have always been huge Studio C fans and Jason is their favorite. The owner of JesterZ is #TeamAmos all the way, in fact he made up the name #TeamAmos and he’s always shown us so much love and support. He invited us there to be guests tonight for the big show. Thank you Jef Rawls! You are one of the many blessings in our lives.
Jef made a big deal about Evie Clair being there tonight and even had her come on stage to do some improv comedy with Jason Gray! All her dreams have now come true.
Here is the full show tonight. Evie’s part starts at minute 43. Must keep watching after her part for the epic rap battles!
This morning was the last day of my building-cleaning-organizing assignment for 3 months! This means next Saturday I get to sleep in. Thanks to the Gonzalez family, The Petersens, Brother Pearce, The Cluffs and the Maloys, we got done in just an hour. The building will be nice and shiny for church tomorrow.
