Amos’s back pain was terrible last night so he ended up needing to take a heavy narcotic. He isn’t used to pain meds so it was kind of like talking to a teenager who had just had his wisdom teeth pulled. I wish I would have video taped him. He told me not to let him take them again today. Thankfully his pain hasn’t been as bad.
Today was Amos’s last Thursday off of work. We might be bad parents for pulling our kids out of school to spend the day with him but I don’t feel bad about it.
Ruth had a field trip to Schnepf Farms so she went with her class. The rest of our kids stayed home from school and our plan was Schnepf Farms also but we were sad we wouldn’t get to be with Ruth. We debated going there because of the 100 degree heat today. Amos said he could handle it so we went.
Ten minutes after getting there, we found out Ruth got hurt. She hyper- extended her knee on the air bouncers. She couldn’t walk, but she got to stay with us the rest of the time and they gave her a wheel chair and a giant bag of ice for her knee that kept Amos from over heating over the next few hours. #miracles
We had the sister missionaries over for dinner but someone was bringing us dinner so it was a little funny. The sisters came but we didn’t know who was bringing dinner or when they would be here so we made super lame tacos for the sisters. Then the Cluffs show up with tons of real Mexican food that was incredible – better than restaurant food! Sister Petersen called to see if she could help us by bringing our kids to the fall festival. We invited her family to come over and help us eat the amazing Cluff Mexican Cuisine. 🙂 I then remembered I was late for a visiting teaching appointment so I’m so grateful the Petersens took our kids so Amos, who was exhausted, didn’t have to. #blessings #iloveourward #amazingdayoff
