Today was the #LIGHTtheWORLD day of service. One of the ways I served was to volunteer in Blakely’s classroom. They had been working towards earning a class party and they got it today. What fun!
I then loaded up the back of the truck (the one I’m borrowing from my sister while our car is in the shop) with all kinds of donations for the Goodwill near our house.
I’m now donating my time to the Arizona Interfaith Movement working on some website updates they needed. That project might take a few more days but they are so great to work with – such kind and loving people who are dedicated to peace and good will between people of different faiths.
My service today has been nothing compared to those who are constantly serving us.
My sweet dad wrapped gifts for me today. Thankfully I don’t need to make dinner since we have delicious soup and sourdough bread left from last night that the lovely Sister Greevers made for us.
Chemo days are so difficult for Amos. He will have the chemo pump on until tomorrow night. I am so grateful the Stoddards who helped pick up Blakely from Jujitsu while we were at the hospital as well as the Kennedys who brought over an Elf on the Shelf for my kids yesterday.
It looks like we got a naughty one since he took out all the light bulbs, but I had no idea how much my kids would react to such a simple thing. They love the elf! I love that my son is taking on elf duty for us. I am so proud of him for finally finishing his Eagle Scout paperwork. He had his Board of Review last night so it’s official. I have an Eagle Scout.
Thank you all for getting involved with the LIGHTtheWORLD initiative with me on social media today. Tons of cool things are happening. Below is a playlist of the videos from the influencers that are partnering with the church on this amazing effort. It has been so neat to be a part of it again this year.
