Our home care problems have been solved in a remarkable way! We found ourselves in a place where we couldn’t get the care Amos needed without stopping all other treatments and essentially giving up. Amos is definitely not ready to give up yet, but we didn’t see a way he could continue without serious help.
A fellow jujitsu mom called last night after I posted the blog to tell me she wanted to help. She had a connection to a man who owns hospice and palliative care companies all over the state.
He stepped in to offer his services and cover all the costs of Amos’s home care himself! Yes, that really happened. This will allow Amos to get the care he needs and continue seeking treatments including the second half of the Y90 radiation procedure he has scheduled for later this month. We got all signed up today for home care including pain management that starts next week! I hope to be able to release this good man’s name soon if he will allow it.
As these amazing things keep happening to us, I just sit in awe of the goodness of people and the goodness of God. #miracles
He reminds me of Steve Prisbrey who was just a stranger who learned of us and wanted to help. Now he and his family have become dear friends. I think that Blentec the Prisbreys sent is the best appliance I have ever owned. We love it more than I ever thought I could love a blender.
Other good news on this good-news day is that Tiberius is getting better. His eye is just about cleared up and my sister who gave him to us had him over today to groom him. Thank you Amy!
Amos had some labs at the cancer center and he sees Dr. Lanauze on Monday to prep for Y90.
The next few days will be busy with filming and we want to thank all of you who are assisting with that at the church and at the prison. We love you all and feel so happy to have the continued support of so many in all our endeavors.
