My sister Phoebe drove all the way to my house to make tons of pies and adorable treats with my girls today. She even made pies for my neighbors Joseph and Victoria who starred in Evelyn’s music video last night. She then went home and spent the rest of her day making pies for her neighbors and family. If that isn’t awesome, she is coming tomorrow to make Thanksgiving dinner for my family after making Thanksgiving for her family. She is probably the most selfless person I know and I am so thankful to have her as my sister. Love you Phoebe. After I heard Amos say “Phoebe is awesome” today, I knew that needed to be the name of the blog. She is a great example to us of someone who lights the world every day of her life. When I grow up I want to be like her.
Another super selfless and kind person we know is Jef Rawls who owns Jesterz. Somehow he is cool enough to get super stars to come to his comedy club. He invited us to be his guests Monday night when Lindsey Sterling comes to do a comedy show with them. I hope she pulls out her violin too. What an incredible experience! We are pumped for Monday. I don’t even think he realizes it will be a perfect birthday present for me. Thank you Jef!
After the baking we went to see the movie Trolls. It was adorable and had great music. I loved that it reinforced the idea that we can be happy even in the most difficult circumstances.
After the movie we went for hair cuts then to Sutherland! We have wonderful friends in Mesa who invited us to their family neighborhood for pie night. Their family members own the whole neighborhood. How amazing it must be to have all your sisters as neighbors. It was so great to catch up with everyone. Amos got too tired so we couldn’t stay long.
In addition to extreme fatigue, this new chemo leaves a film in his mouth that makes everything taste terrible. Some people who read our blog gave us a tip on some miracle berries that might fix the bad taste problem. We have them to try for Thanksgiving tomorrow. With all the yummy food Phoebe is making, I really hope they work.
